Masonic Tour of the MMC, May 29, 2012

On May 29, 2012, Tuesday, the GL Membership Committee, chaired by MWB Ken Butchart, conducted a Masonic Tour of the Manitoba Masonic Centre (MMC). VWB Thor Weidenbacher served as MC and one of the speakers during the tour.
In this picture, MWB Ken was speaking about the connection of the British Royalty to Freemasonry.

There were about 30 people in the audience.

VWB Thor Weidenbacher talked about MWB George Washington, whose picture is up on the wall on the left to the entrance of the Canada Lodge Room, the biggest room in the MMC.

The GM, DGM, SGW and Grand Secretary were in attendance. Actually, the SGW, RWB Doug Webster, and Grand Secretary, MWB Ted Jones, participated in the portion explaining the Lodge and the Officers.
That's MWB George Washington and not Martha Washington.

RWB Victor Popow (2nd from R, in suit, without apron) talked about the Masonic connections of the Manitoba Legislative Building.
RWB Vicotr Popow also spoke about the spiritual aspect of the Fraternity.

It was an excellent first-time tour. The Committee will evaluate it and will come up with suggestions to make it better.
I enjoyed it and saw that everyone seemed to enjoy it, too.
Looking forward to attending the next one.
