Masonic Library & Museum Association Annual Meeting, September 29 to October 1

On September 29, Thursday, Mae and I attended the Banquet of the Masonic Library & Museum Association (MLMA), which was having its Annual Meeting in Winnipeg from September 29 to October 1. Those at the Banquet had the pleasure of hearing this year's JRC Evans Lecture, "Why the world needs Freemasonry", presented by VWB Gord Greasley. It was an excellent paper, which was very well received.

The following day, on September 30, the Fil-Can Cabletow Lodge No 189 held a Special Meeting to exemplify the Opening & Closing in the MM Degree using the Ritual of the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of the Philippines for the benefit of the MLMA participants.

It was a wonderful evening - a very interesting Meeting with the learned Brethren of the MLMA and an enjoyable Table Lodge with the Ladies, Brethren and other Guests.

Following are pictures taken during the Table Lodge, the first ever put up by Fil-Can Cabletow Lodge No 189. It was a lot of fun and everyone had an excellent time.
From L to R: MWB Hugh Young, PGM of the GL of Alberta; WB Mark Tabbert, President of the MLMA; and RWB Brian Rountree, Secretary of the MLMA and Grand Librarian of the GL of Manitoba.

We trust that the visitors from MLMA had an enjoyable experience here in Winnipeg and in the Lodge.
The Lodge Members and Ladies surely enjoyed giving them a taste of Filipino-Canadian hospitality.
